Alloy Information Reports

All Metals & Forge Group is pleased to make these alloy information reports available for your use. The following reports contain the attributes and general characteristics of the many alloys we supply. From the chemical composition to the actual workability of these alloys, you will find much of this information useful for specification purposes. Call us at 1-973-276-5000 if you have additional questions.

Alloy Steels

Alloy Steels are basically carbon steels with certain chemical elements added to improve the properties of the metal for specific applications or end products.

Alloy Steel Special Grades

More atypical grades of alloy steel.

Aluminum

Aluminum is best known for its light weight characteristics. When it is cold worked, the material strengthens by double.

Carbon Steel

Carbon Steel is a malleable, iron-based metal containing carbon, small amounts of manganese, and other elements to make the material useful for many different applications.

Copper Alloys

Copper is a ductile metal with excellent electrical conductivity properties.

Magnesium Alloys

Magnesium has a high strength-to-weight ratio and is generally used in applications from room temperature to about 200 degrees F.

Nickel, Cobalt, Special Alloys

Nickel alloys are used in high temperature and/or corrosive environments, such as jet engines, power generation applications, chemical plants, and oil rigs.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is primarily used as a heat resisting or corrosion resisting material.

Titanium Alloys

Titanium is mainly used in aircraft and aerospace applications. It is an extremely light weight and high strength material.

Tool Steel

Tool Steel was created primarily to cut and machine other types of metal, such as alloy steel, carbon steel, nickel alloys, aluminum, and magnesium.
