Forged discs and hubs are much shorter in length than round bars, but may have substantial mass. They are used in a wide range of machinery for manufacturing applications. The maximum diameter for forged discs and hubs in carbon, alloy and stainless steel is 96 inches with a maximum weight of 75,000 pounds, 50 inches in the nickel and super alloys with a maximum weight of 20,000 pounds, 80 inches in aluminum with a maximum weight of 15,000 pounds, and 65 inches in titanium with a maximum weight of 10,000 pounds.
