ALL METALS & FORGE LLC CREATES CUSTOM HAND-ROLLED BAR

Hard-to-find shapes and metal alloys now available to Aerospace, Aircraft, Automotive, Defense, Machine Shops, Manufacturing, OEMs (Parsippany, New Jersey) – All Metals & Forge LLC, a metals service center and forge facility, can now produce round, square, flat and hex-shaped bars of most metal alloys, including alloy steel, stainless steel, nickel, titanium and tool steel through its hand-rolled custom bar operation. This capability makes many hard-to-find or out-of-stock bar shapes available to large original equipment manufacturers, machine shops, defense suppliers and other companies in the metalworking industry in two to four weeks depending on grade, size and shape. Finished bars meet the strict requirements of ASTM, ASM, military and international specifications.

“Custom hand-rolling is a secondary process that raises cost but provides end-user savings because a square, flat or hex bar does not have to be machined from an oversize round that creates a lot of material waste,” said Lew Weiss, president of All Metals and Forge. “The finished product also has the improved structure and qualities of bar instead of a shape made from cut plate.” “In addition, metal alloys that are not commercially available in a particular bar shape can now be produced through custom hand-rolling,” he said.

All Metals & Forge, LLC is a unique combination of a steel service center, forge facility, custom melt operation, custom bar producer, value-added service provider and an information resource for its customers. All Metals & Forge is an ISO9001:2000/AS9100 and EN9100 registered and certified company. The company provides additional information at its web site, www.steelforge.com.
